Eco Challenge Initial Evaluation

As more and more schools complete all parts of the Eco Challenge programme we have looked in detail at the feedback from teachers from 30 schools from different areas of the country.  

• 87% teachers saw improved cooperation and communication     
• 87% observed increased self esteem and self confidence (including amongst ‘quieter’ pupils)
•  90% teachers said relationships between teachers/students and students/students which have continued after the course
• 90% teachers said that students and staff had increased awareness, knowledge and understanding of the natural environment.  
• 90% also said that students and increased pride in local greenspaces
